Turning Awareness into Action: How to draft an inclusive family-forming policy

Family-forming isn't a one-size-fits-all thing. And the path to parenthood isn't always straightforward.

Dr Gidon Lieberman
Medical Director

🌈 1 in 8 LGBTQ+ people have experienced unequal treatment from their healthcare providers because they are LGBTQ+, according to Stonewall.

🌈 46% of LGBTQ+ employees reported unfair treatment at some point in their careers because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, research from UCLA has found.

🌈 According to Stonewall, only 44% of LGBT employees say that senior managers demonstrate a visible commitment to LGBT equality.

Progressive family-forming benefits can be a strong differentiator in an increasingly competitive labour market, whilst also impacting your bottom line.

It's often surprising how companies can get policy drafting so wrong, and especially when it comes to a family-forming policy. In this webinar, Dr Gidon Lieberman and Céline Crawford will be discussing how not to draft your family-forming policy.

They will explore the do's and don'ts when it comes to drafting your family-forming policy and you will leave with a strong understanding of what makes a strong employee policy, so you can implement your own.

They will cover:

  • How to write in an inclusive way for LGBTQ+ parents-to-be
  • How many days your employees should be entitled to for family-forming and fertility challenges
  • Why a family-forming policy is fundamental to building an inclusive workplace

There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
