Navigating pregnancy loss bereavement leave: Essential information for HR leaders

Recent changes to the Employment Rights Bill will mean employees will gain the right to a minimum of one week of unpaid bereavement leave following a pre-24 week pregnancy loss. Join the Fertifa team to understand what this means for you, as an employer.

The Fertifa team will offer their insights and expertise on:

The physical and emotional impact pregnancy loss can have on your employees
The proposed changes to the Employment Rights Bill every organisation must be aware of
Why a pregnancy loss policy is a crucial first step and other types of support you can offer

Speakers

Céline Crawford
Director of People and Operations
Holly Rowland
Head of Clinical Services

Pregnancy loss can have a profound impact on a person's physical and emotional health and wellbeing. In the UK, 1 in 7 pregnancies end in a loss. 3 in 4 pregnancy losses happen during the first 3 months of pregnancy.

Nearly 1 in 3 people who experience pregnancy loss will experience PTSD in the following month. But despite how prevalent—and difficult—pregnancy loss can be, until the very recent Employment Rights Bill, pregnancy loss has not been widely acknowledged by most workplaces.

During the webinar, we'll be joined by Fertifa's Head of Clinical Service, Holly Rowland, and Director of HR, Céline Crawford, to discuss what the Employment Rights Bill amendments mean, what you need to do as an employer, and why this is a step in the right direction when it comes to employee support.

Holly has over 10 years of experience working in women's health and fertility and has first-hand experience looking after people experiencing pregnancy loss, including the incredible work she does with Fertifa patients.

With years of experience as an HR leader, Céline has personally and professionally seen the impact pregnancy loss can have on individuals in and outside the workplace.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
